"Why Can't We All Just Get Along"

I was stopped by the cops last night. Yeah. That's right. the 5-0. I was minding my own business as a law abiding citizen who was walking his dog and out of nowhere there's a cop a following me. It's true, I did just walk two of my students back to one of their homes (it was cold and dark and Hartford is a dangerous town). So that might have been sketch for someone who didn't know me. So he stops me. Asks me what I'm doing (it was a little obvious...walking my dog). He asks for I.D.. Tells me why he stopped me (Blacks aren't allowed in this part of town...j.k.! 'someone' was 'walking their dog' and messed with some 'boxes'.). My name gets radioed in. Great. And then he lets me go. He was nice enough. He didn't beat me. Or taser me. Or mace me. He feared Josiah.
